In a time when we have all held our breaths as the very nature of our existence as people and artists transformed. We panicked, we grieved, we reached for each other and we were at times lost. In this time the artists of Phluxus2 Dance Collective fed their creative practice by responding the only way we knew how–we danced.

Proximal is about the threads of attachment that sculpt our sense of self, connect us to each other, and form the constructs that represent our everyday landscapes. As an extension of the acclaimed short work1.5 x 12 presented in 2020, Proximal embodies discovery, is an act of reflection and of letting go. Gather with us on the Backbone green, bring a picnic, enjoy the sun and stars and assemble with us as we let 2020 go.
